Happy International Women's Day!

This month, we celebrate the incredible achievements of women around the world and recognise the ongoing journey towards gender equality. This year's theme, "For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment," calls on all of us to take bold steps to create a more inclusive and equitable world.

Empowering women in every sphere of life

Supporting every endeavour to make our world more equitable and inclusive. At Guild Solutions, Inc., we have remodelled our remuneration and benefits, including our workplace features and policies, to ensure women have an equal playing field to become successful in their professional endeavours. By providing equal opportunities and resources, we empower women to excel and lead in their respective fields.

Challenging stereotypes and breaking down barriers

This begins with understanding and appreciating that the world needs constant change. Unconscious bias, also known as implicit bias, refers to the unconscious forms of discrimination and stereotyping based on race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, ability, age, and so on. To overcome unconscious bias, we must first become aware of it by reflecting on our own assumptions and behaviours. Implementing training programs and fostering open discussions can help individuals recognise and address their biases, leading to more inclusive and fair decision-making.

Supporting policies and initiatives that promote gender equality

To date, the disparity in remuneration between men and women is still a concern. In 2024, women earned an average of 85% of what men earned, highlighting the ongoing gender pay gap. While this disparity is not evident in GSI, our Head of Shared Services, Ray-an Cabe, works hand in hand with our Head of Finance, Aileeh De Guzman, CPA, to maintain equitable remuneration for our staff members, regardless of gender, race, and age. By supporting policies and initiatives that promote gender equality, we can work towards closing the pay gap and ensuring fair treatment for all.

Mentoring and uplifting the next generation of female leaders

Proper support and encouragement are key to ensuring they are allowed to discover their identity and skills. At GSI, we support our women leaders by providing opportunities to join groups and discussions where they are trained and encouraged. This helps them discover their strengths and professional aspirations, fostering a new generation of confident and capable female leaders.

Together, we can accelerate action and drive meaningful change. Let's make every day a step closer to a world where everyone has equal opportunities to thrive.
